Hidra is proprietary software. It is licensed, not sold.
You may use it only under the terms of the End User Licence Agreement
in EULA.md. Installing or running it
means accepting that agreement.
No right is granted to copy, modify, translate, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, sell, rent, lend, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble this software, or to create derivative works from it, except where this licence says so, where the EULA says so, or where a law that cannot be contracted out of gives you that right regardless — in Australia, section 47D of the Copyright Act 1968 permits decompilation for interoperability, and nothing here purports to take that away.
Components from other people
Hidra links 697 third-party crates, distributed under their own
terms. Those terms govern those components and are not affected by this
licence. Every one of them is listed, with its licence, in THIRD-PARTY.md, generated from
the dependency graph by tools/notices.py.
Seven are MPL-2.0, which is file-level copyleft: it reaches the files it is in and no others, and those files are used unmodified. Two offer a choice that includes a GPL or LGPL option; in both the permissive alternative is the one taken. Nothing Hidra depends on requires Hidra itself to be open source.
The name
“Hidra” and the Hidra mark are the licensor’s. This licence grants no right to use either, other than to say truthfully what software you are running.
